Introduction

LiftSheet ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the current version of the App handles and how, and your rights as a user.

Data We Collect

The current version of LiftSheet does not collect personal data. Your training data — workout logs, programs, exercise history, and personal records — is stored on your device.

How Your Data Is Stored

On-Device Storage: Your training data is stored on your iOS device using on-device storage (Apple SwiftData). It is sent off-device only if you explicitly export or share it.
iCloud Backup: If you have iOS's iCloud Backup enabled in your device Settings, your LiftSheet data is included in that backup alongside the rest of your app data, subject to Apple's iCloud terms.
No Third-Party Cloud Sync in This Version: The current version of LiftSheet does not sync data to LiftSheet-operated servers or third-party services.

What We Don't Do

No advertising in the App
No third-party analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, etc.)
No Facebook SDK or tracking pixels
No advertising networks or ad tracking
No data brokers or data sharing agreements
No location data collection
No collection of personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, etc.) by the App itself

Apple In-App Purchase (IAP)

LiftSheet uses Apple's In-App Purchase system to process subscriptions and one-time purchases. When you make a purchase:

Apple processes your payment using your Apple ID.
LiftSheet receives a receipt token to verify your purchase status — nothing more.
Your payment information is handled exclusively by Apple and is not shared with LiftSheet.

Data Exports

You can export programs and workouts as .liftsheet files, PDFs, or CSV (Pro tier). Exports are generated on your device and only shared if you explicitly send them. LiftSheet does not transmit, monitor, or retain copies of exported files.

Future Features

Future versions of LiftSheet may introduce optional features that involve sharing data beyond your device — for example cross-device sync, social features, or community surfaces. Any such feature will be opt-in, will be clearly labelled in the App, and will be governed by an updated version of this Privacy Policy with explicit disclosure of what is collected, stored, or shared. Existing on-device data will not be moved off-device without your action.

Your Rights

Data Access: Your training data is on your device — you have direct access to it through the App at all times.
Data Deletion: You can delete any data by removing it within the App or by uninstalling LiftSheet entirely.
Export Your Data: You can export your training data at any time via the built-in export features (Pro tier).
No Targeted Ads: LiftSheet contains no advertising and does not share your data with advertisers.

Children's Privacy

LiftSheet is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it. LiftSheet does not knowingly collect data from children.

Security

LiftSheet relies on iOS's built-in security features to protect your device and the data the App stores locally. Data on your device is subject to iOS encryption and security protections. The App does not implement additional encryption or data protection mechanisms beyond what iOS provides.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date, and we will surface a notice within the App when significant changes affect data practices. Continued use of LiftSheet after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
